HOLY...

Hooly crap.. my life has been so fucking emtotional and crazy lately I can't even find the strength or the time to write here anymore. I've got a bunch of crap to put on here, but right now..eesh.

I'll be posting the rest of SPN con soon.. I really want to, you have no idea! And right now I have GISHWHES happening and that's just a whole other bucket of crazy.

One team member has pissed me off royally.. I really don't like her or her mediocre crap, but whatever if the rest of the team wants to submit it, fine.

So I'll be back.. I promise because I told myself this is what I wanted to do and it helps get all the bullshit outta my head. >< SOON, blog. SOON.

Supernatural DallasCon 2012 - Thursday

And now, almost two months later I am posting about the con. Tried to avoid it, didn't want to forget it and am lovingly going to recount what I can for myself and whomever wants to read this.

Our trip started on Thursday because Ria and I drove down to Texas then. Hah. We got a late start because we had to wait for Archiver's (a scrap booking store) to open since we needed to print a photo that Ria was going to have signed. Neither of our printers are awesome like that, so we have to pay. BOO. However, we got to the DMV on time and I was able to update my driver licenses, and Ria got her Missouri one and also registered to vote in Missouri. Woohoo! So after we got the licenses and the picture, off we went. We headed through Kansas and even though her GPS was being a fucktard she just went her own way and I kept my mouth shut because I didn't know where I was going and I feel like if I try to get my input in during driving someplace I really should have just kept my mouth shut. :\ I'm no good at directions and every time we end up using her phone's GPS it puts us in whothefuckknowsville. But anyway.. we made it.

So sometime in Oklahoma we switched and I drove through Tulsa and down into Texas while Ria slept. Wasn't too bad of a drive, some idiots and I had to get used to a much bigger car, but it was normal I think. Didn't get pulled over so that was good. We switched back so Ria was driving the closer we got to Dallas. I'm not a fan of driving in new places and she would probably murder me if I was driving then anyway. So it was just better for both our sakes. XD Anyway.. we're almost to Dallas then we hit traffic and basically stop. UGH. It was so bad..we had like 20 minutes left and it took us twice that time to get through the city and to the hotel. IT WAS HORRIBLE. And then while we were waiting, I looked out the windows and see.. birds. Lots. Of. Birds. Seriously, it was horrifying how many birds there were! On the electric lines, on the fences, EVERYWHERE BIRDS!

BIIIIIIRRRRDDDSSS!!!

Finally we made it down to the part of town where the Westin was. I could see it.. it was SO CLOSE! Then at long last we're there, and find out we have to pay for parking. This hotel had so many problems with hidden fees, it wasn't funny. We haul our stuff inside, I get us checked in and then we head upstairs. I'm thinking, hey for $110 a night we're gonna get a fridge, microwave and tv and wifi! WOO! But I was so wrong. About two weeks before I found out that wifi isn't free unless you're in the lobby or standing on the second floor balcony hanging over the lobby. -____- There was no fridge in the room, and no microwave. There was a crappy tv, a teeny tiny safe and a recycle bin however! Because by some off chance I might have a plastic bottle in the room with me to throw in that blue container. Ugh. We had bought milk for our breakfast and brought cereal and yogurt with us and there is no fridge, so we fandangled ourselves one out of using two trash cans and filling em with ice. Didn't work that well, but it helped at least. The milk was sour by Sunday morning. UGH.

Besides the asinine room amenities, it was a pretty nice room. Beds weren't as big as I imagined, but eh whatever. We got settled, grabbed something to eat and I think we registered since they had it set up for people to do so. I think we also wandered around the vendors that were already set up. Ria went upstairs for a while and I roamed around downstairs with my birthday cards to get people to sign them and I ended up meeting Ariel, Mindy, Emily, Alestra, Tina and more fans that were sitting in the hotel bar area. Ariel had brought a restored impala with her but it was at the paint shop since they had a boo-boo driving it from Florida. The lock on the tarp that covered Baby scratched the paint off and they had to get it fixed. So we hung out and then a few people started gushing about an impala in the lot, so naturally I had to go look. As I'm leaving the hotel I just about plowed over Gabriel Tigerman. HAH! He's so adorable. I almost hit him and was like OMG.. oh hi! and he just grinned and said hi back. I apologized for almost running him over then told him to have a good night, not wanting to impose on him trying to get checked in. He's such a doll.

Swooned over the other impala that was outside for a bit then eventually I was tired and headed upstairs to bed. Friday morning was good times!

Supernatural DallasCon 2012

Holy. Shit. This was the best con yet. It was only my second, but still. BEST. ONE. YET. I'll give you a run down of the highlights..

- Chad Lindberg remembered me from my bday chat back in March. He singled me out during his panel while scanning the audience and looked at me for a second before going 'I know you..' and then gave me a grin and a wink. *dies*
- Gabriel Tigerman was much more than I expected. I love how the people on this show can make me excited and happy to meet them even when I'm not at first. He talked about "the world's largest prairie dog (but called it a ground hog)" which is about an hour from where I live. His story about it was HILARIOUS!
- Karaoke was the most fun I have ever had at karaoke. I EVEN SANG! Chad snatched my camera a few times, Ria and I got on stage and sang, then Chad stole my Ghostbuster's tie off of my neck, almost dragging me with it. It was so fantastic.
- Sebastian Roche is the dirtiest bastard I have ever met and he had me laughing so hard I was crying. We were also v-neck shirt twinsies that day, and it was fantastic to ask him a question and be dirty with him. Hah.
- Mark Sheppard was someone I was already having feelings for and after his panel and spending time with him during the cocktail party, he holds a piece of my heart with his snarkiness. <3
- Mark Pellegrino replaced Misha Collins at the last minute since Misha's wife was having a baby! Mark P. was amazing..totally sleep deprived and a little crazy at times, but he was so sweet! I loved meeting him. I even got to kiss him :D
- Matt and Richard were fantastic during their panel, as always. Got a few shots of them but they would not hold still. Which was the usual. Love my photos with them. :D
- Cocktail party on Saturday night was pretty awesome. Didn't drink because they were stupid expensive and I didn't have any cash anyway. But the handlers were pretty rude about the time restraints for each celebrity at the tables. Richard sat down and barely got to give an answer to the first question before she said it was time for him to move. Ugh. Then he spent a good five minutes at another table. Always irritating when that happens.
- J2 breakfast... so amazing. My table was fairly close and I was excited. Food was okay, glad I had something in my stomach though otherwise I probably would have thrown up at some point from excitement.
- Jared and Jensen's families were there! Both sets of parents and some siblings were there for the breakfast and during the photo ops and panel later in the day. :D
- Jared seemed either sleepy or quiet during the photo ops, but he was happy on stage.
- Jensen gave me back rubs. *DIES*
- Their panel was adorable.. very Disney inspired this time around. lol I also missed Richard's second panel of the weekend. :( Makes me sad I keep missing it but I had to stand in the long ass line for J2 photos!
- The hotel sucked ass. Details to come.
- The people were mostly fantastic. Some were freaks, others were bitches, but most were great and the new friends I made make me smile :D

So those were highlights. I will post other posts for each day, but I wanted to just get those out. I miss Dallas and I miss con..I'm hoping to go back next year.
